As many of you know, we had a special visitor arrive in our class on December 1st. He came direct from the North Pole and Santa himself. He was a mischievous little elf who liked to cause a few problem. He was always sorry the next day and usually brought us small gifts to apologize. The students had great fun checking out what Chestnut did each day, and writing in their investigation journal. The investigation journal as used to document the adventures of Chestnut for Santa. Students had to explain what Chestnut did that day and then provide proof of what he did. The last day students wrote a letter to Santa giving their opinion on which list Chestnut should be on, the naughty or nice! We had great fun with Chestnut and were sad to see him go back to the North Pole. Hopefully he will return next year!
